Rotimatic™ makes so many types of flatbreads, but rotis are where it all began! Here’s how you can make rotis using Rotimatic™:

Steps:
1. Open the front door.

  • Ensure the pan is clear of any protective foam or paper.
  • Keep the front door open throughout the entire operation.

2. Ensure that the kneading base and kneading cup (with the stirrer) are properly inserted, with the side door closed.

3. Connect the Rotimatic power cord to the machine, and plug into suitable electrical wall socket.

4. Turn on power point switch at the socket (if applicable).

  • For US model: only use the Rotimatic Approved GFCI Power Cord. After plugging in, press the Reset button once.
  • For Singapore model: only use Rotimatic Earthed cord set.

5. Wait for at least 5 seconds, then tap the Power button to power on Rotimatic.

  • Use the full surface of your finger tip. Tap gently. Do not press as Rotimatic buttons are designed with capacitive touch sensing.
  • Wait for Rotimatic to complete the starting up process.

6. Connect your Rotimatic to Wi-Fi if you haven't. This ensures you get the latest firmware upgrades for new feature and recipe releases as well as remote diagnosis and troubleshooting.

7. Tap the button on the left, below "Menu" to view the flour selection.

8. In the Menu screen, tap the button below "Flour" to select your flour type.

9. You can skip this step if you are using the same flour type as selected in the last use.

10. Select the number of rotis by tapping the plus/minus buttons.

11. Adjust the thickness, roast level and oil drops by tapping the input buttons below the screen.

For optimal roti quality, use thickness level 1 and oil level 2 (two drops of oil) during the first operations.

12. Tap Play to start making rotis.

13. Rotimatic will ask you to confirm the start of operation. Select "Yes" to confirm.

After about 6 minutes warming up, Rotimatic will start dispensing ingredients and making rotis.

Rotimatic is a learning machine. It needs time to learn and adapt to the characteristics of the ingredients used. The first few rotis, therefore, may not be the best rotis.  

14. Remove each roti with a tong as it slides onto the front door.

Tip: For softer rotis, place a cotton cloth in a casserole. Place the freshly made rotis inside the casserole and cover them with the cloth from the top. This will keep the rotis soft, ideal to pack for lunch.

Note: When the machine is operating, you can adjust the quantity and preferences. New settings will be activated for the next dough ball.

Warning:

  • Verify the voltage compatibility of the Rotimatic™ before plugging into the socket. The Singapore units are not compatible with US power source and vice versa.
  • Do not close the front door during operation to prevent the machine from overheating and damage to the front door.
  • Do not open the side door during the roti-making process to avoid danger of injury from moving parts inside. Open only when prompted by the machine or for cleaning after roti-making is complete.
  • Use tongs or similar utensil to remove completed rotis to avoid risk of burn injury.
